May 2011
We decided to take a trip to Alabama to visit our good friends Dick and Dorothy who you will probably recognize from some of our travels....
We spent time at their beautiful homes in both Montgomery and Santa Rosa beach on the panhandle. Dick and Dorothy are our friends who we always manage to have ridiculous fun with !!
I think our highlight was going to Dick and Dorothy's cattle farm in southern Montgomery and meeting Brittany spEARs, a cow we have been hearing about for years !
We also went to Tuscaloosa where we caught the LSU - Alabama series. We were thrilled to spend time with some of "our boys" who have lived with us during the summer while playing on the Harwich Mariners for the Cape Cod baseball league. We spent time with Miers Quigley, summer of 2007, Daniel Bradshaw summer of 2009, Adam Morgan and Taylor Dugas 2010, and with Austin Nola who we hope to have live with us this summer of 2011.
On a sad note, our visit to Tuscaloosa was a week after the devastating tornado hit, the damage overwhelming, the sadness palpable, but the spirit of the community was amazing !
