Well Jon and I have travelled quite a bit, have been on many boats, but never a floating small city cruise ship. A group of 20 friends decided to do a 3 night 4 day cruise to the Bahamas to celebrate our friend, Pat Block's 75 th Birthday. We honesty were not very excited about the thought a big ship cruise, buy we ended up have an absolute blast !!
Our first night we all met for cocktails, opened birthday poppers complete with paper crowns, and proceeded to form a train singing Happy Birthday to Pat while parading through the ship making quite a spectacle of ourselves. We ended the night with an ice skating show.
The next day was in Nassau so Jon and I headed off and took a water taxi to Paradise Island because we wanted to explore and check out Atlantis. We then took the taxi back to Nassau and walked around the waterfront. It was Pat's official birthday so we all met again at cocktail hour and proceeded to steal the mic from the band and sing a birthday song that I wrote for Pat, and then presented Pat with presents and cards, and one jumbo card that I had made full of photos of Pat , and had everyone sign it. We also passed out hats that had pictures of Pat on them. At dinner we continued our shenanigans with streamers, singing etc....
The next day we were at a private island Coco Key. Jon and I were up early so headed over to the island and enjoyed the morning laying on the beach with direct waterfront loungers. We were joined later in the morning by Jim and Kathy, and had a blast riding the trolley around the island, exploring by foot and swimming. We got back and caught the 5:30 off broadway performance of Grease, then had another delicious dinner.
We had an early arrival back to Cape Canaveral and disembarked and were on our way back to Palm Coast by 10:00 AM.
