Last day in South Dakota so lots to do….. We travelled down the Needles highway which was full of hairpin curves, sheer cliffs and surrounded by towering rock formations. Then on to Custer park, Wind Cave Park, Jewel park and back home about 5:30 PM. We have driven about 2,500 miles in 12 days and have seen amazing scenery – nature’s best show. At one point today there were donkeys all over the road. We stopped to take pictures and one snuck up on me and stuck his head in my window – scared me !! I tried to just rub his nose a bit to get him out and he tried to bite me, now I am about sitting on Jon’s lap trying to roll the window up without his head getting stuck. Once we got the window half way up, he started scratching his head on the window, just staring me in the eyes – finally he took his head out of the window, and we were out of there ! I have decided SD is full of deer, turkeys and crazy donkeys !
