Denmark 2018

Mon 10-8-18
Up and on the road for about a four and a half hour drive to Ringkobing Denmark. Most of the trip was through scenic farmland. We arrived about 2:30, then checked out the center of Ringkobing and and Hvide Sande. Headed back to the hotel where the boys expended lots of energy in the pool that has a big water slide. After cocktails, we headed in to town for a casual pizza dinner. Had some rounds of foosball then off to bed.

Tues. 10-9-18
Today was a living Viking museum. All kinds of interactive Viking activities for the kids and a beautiful setting ! Afterward, we drove up the coast with several stops including dune jumping ship for the kids. It reminded me of Provincetown with all of the dunes. We ended up walking around Ringkobing which has a charming town center. We returned to the hotel for the kids to swim, then back to town for dinner.

We left the coast today and drove inland to Billings with our sites on Legoland. The section of Denmark we are traveling is basically flat farmland with scattered little towns. We stopped at our far stay on the way in. It is quite charming. We then went to Legoland. We stayed till closing at 6:00, then met up with David who drove up from Hamburg today, for dinner.

Thurs. 10-11-18
Today is Blakes 10th birthday and we celebrated at his request by going back to Legoland ! Had a really fun day, then headed to Lalandia for his birthday dinner. Racked up lots of steps and laughs today !
