Playa del Carmen Mexico - November 2011
Another trip to Mexico – it is so easy to get there – we flew direct from Orlando to Cancun, were met by our driver and were checked into our condo an hour later ! We travelled with our friends Jim and Kathy. We all enjoyed the condo that we stayed in, and the complex was directlyon the beach, and a five minute walk to “5th” Ave. the heart of Playa del Carmen with all of the restaurants and activity. There was at least a mile of restaurants, and a very walkable gorgeous beach. We rented a car for our stay and did lots of exploring including visiting the ruins of Chichen Itza and Tulum, Puerto Aventura and the Siam Reserve (Jon and I had stayed in Puerto Aventuras about ten years ago and loved it !), we took the ferry to Cozumel for a day, we went zip lining which was a blast, hit the beach, shopped, sampled lots of tequila, and Kathy and I had spa day of pampering. It was a lot of fun, very relaxing, great weather, and of course – grand margaritas !
